And we have to include our own failures to glorify God in thought,
word, and deed. And yet God is “longsuffering toward humanity, not
willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance.”
In spite of how we have offended God, He still reaches out to us.
He still desires that none should perish in their sins but that all
will repent and come to Him. How is such a desire
possible?
It's because of His mercy and grace, the expressions of His
love.
Four of New Testament epistles begin with the greeting, “Grace,
mercy, and peace from God.” His grace blesses us; His mercy
spares us from judgment; His peace reconciles us to
Himself.
Thank God today for His mercy and
grace by which you have peace with Him.
"Peace of conscience is nothing
but the echo of pardoning mercy."
