How To Be Patient!
"Now may the Lord direct your
hearts into the love of God and
into the patience of Christ."
2 Thessalonians 3: 5
A self-help website recently listed ten daily
situations that try our patience: wait in
line,
sitting in the traffic, slow Internet, parenting,
dealing with customer service, waiting for a
package, listen to others, assembling Ikea
furniture, grocery shopping, and living with
others.
Most wisely try to avoid unnecessary situations
that test our patience. Sometimes, however, we
don’t avoid frustrating delays or aggravating
problems.
We must learn to manage our tempers.
Whenever we lose our tempers, we are
testing the patience of others who are
affected by our outbursts.
That’s not
of the Spirit.
According to Galatians 5:22,
“The fruit of the Spirit is…patience”.
The Holy Spirit is patient with us,
so we must be patient with others.
The Lord Jesus wants to channel His
patience through you
by His Holy Spirit.
Tell Him you want the same and learn to
pray, “Lord, may I have Your patience now.”
He will help you mature in this vital life skill!
"Be patient and
understanding.
Life is too short to be vengeful
or malicious."
