Forecasted Losers

Our 3rd and final new trial is a ratings based laying service. Bets are released around 7pm on an evening for the next day and use a 10.0 (9/1) cut off to betfair SP. This can be achieved using a bot. Previous results show a profit of 71 points profit from 353 qualifying lays since mid-August. View previous results.

A small profit this week for the lay service with 7 losers overturning 1 winner this week. He’s 2.56 up for the week and looking okay for his first week with us.

Razor Racing

Five winners this week but there was one winner to rule them all! Everkyllachy (11/1) and Beepeecee (12/1) would’ve been big winners on any week but both were overshadowed by Aaron’s 28/1 winner Copperlight bringing team Razor a whopping 28 points profit.

The Razor Racing Trial is looking really strong with a 125.90 point profit so far. And 33.80 points profit from 33 staked or a very strong 102.42% ROI.

HRN

Two winners this week for HRN and one was an absolute whopper! Newtown Boy was a hefty 14/2 winner that was once again cast in the shade by a huge 25/1 winner when Cornerstone Lad was first past the post at Newcastle.

HRN is another regular performer that gets overlooked. It’s turned a profit in its last 2 months with us hopefully a third winning month in a row is on the cards.

PR Racing

22/1 winner no doubt the highlight of his week with just 3 winners to speak of. Northern Princess was a solid winner at 14/1 but was overshadowed by Don Lami at a massive 22/1 at Taunton on Thursday. Been a tough couple of months since his huge September Profit, hopefully December can see him back in form.

Home Form

Eintracht Frankfurt unfortunately let the treble down, despite scoring 4 goals with two ruled out, last night after Gremio had the first leg up. Sydney thumped Brisbane Roar 5-1 Saturday morning to return 2.32, a loss of -1.68. Heracles, Bilbao and Sporting Braga all hit the target last weekend for a 4-point profit.

Clerk of the Course

Prince Kayf was Clerk’s only winner this week but was once again an absolute whopper of a winner at 40/1! It was enough to secure a profit on the last day of the month and hopefully he can knock in a bigger profit this December for his followers.

Cleeve Racing

No winners this week. The source of just about all my frustration with nothing much to talk about after a solid trial.

Tipping Point

Seven winners this week and TP seems to be getting over his spell. Tynecastle Park and Kilbrew Boy were both 5/1 winners on Thursday helping provide the push back in the right direction.

The Last Waltz

Three winners this week and just one really worthy of a mention. BEE MACHINE the winner in question whom of which was first past the post at 7/1. Been a bit of a choppy years and he’ll be hoping to at least end on a positive note and do better next year.

The Master Plan

A Quiet week for TMP with the service not throwing out many selections. Kissesforkatie the only winner this week at 9/4 for a 2.25-point profit. It’s been a great year up to now and very much my favourite service.

The Final Furlong

Just one winner this week with Honeysuckle on target at Firehouse at 7/4. Little disappointing but plenty of time to turn it round with some solid jumps action all throughout the month.

Pay-Per-Profit

Two winners this week for PPP with Grand Roi a 9/4 winner and Deltas Royalty on target at 5/6. Seems to be stalling having had a good spell and is back at -26.

So what’s to watch?

Razor Racing- been a whopper fest with 28/1, 12/1 and 11/1 winners banking him some big profits this week. At 125.90 points profit or an ROI of 27.67% the trial looks to be on a good footing. Definitely worth following if you haven’t already.

HRN- another service knocking in the big winners. 25/1 and 14/1 selections in the winners circle the highlight of his week and again like Razor showing a strong overall profit of 18.94% ROI he’s another service looking really strong.

Clerk of The Course snatches top spot this week in a tightly contested week of big winners! Prince Kayf the 40/1 winner that beat Razor Racing and HRN to the top spot!

Is it me or is there a race to be the most unhelpful bookmaker around? I have always had some respect for Betfair’s good standard of customer service even after the take over by the Irish jokers but it now seems that the mad rush to steer punters in the direction of games and casino betting has led to a cut back on the support front. Even 3 months ago you could call Betfair and speak to generally helpful and knowledgeable people but now all that is left is the chat facility when you may or may not be able to explain fully what the problem is. I recently spent half an hour trying to get the problem appreciated when a phone call would have allowed this to be resolved in under 2 minutes.

Even more annoying was the assertion that Betfair could (more likely would) not confirm to me the IP address of the device placing bets on my account. They must have this information in their records and having identified myself as the account holder they should be prepared to give me the information required. If it were an investigation into suspect dealing the information would be readily available but the individual customer clearly doesn’t matter to them.

I do also wonder how some of the claims made by services in their marketing are allowed to go unchallenged. A newcomer recently was a lay betting service for soccer where the proofing had covered 64 bets and a 4000% bank increase was claimed. When you get the instructions for the service you will find that you stake at 1 point per selection and so will win 0.98 points if successful. So 64 bets would give a profit of 62.72 points if they all were successful (they weren’t) which would be a 105% bank profit. And laughably the results offer a £100 stake option when most of the games are in what can only be classified as minor leagues – a selection yesterday for a game in the Isthmian league had a total of £1299 matched on Betfair so only 12 of the 75 allowed members could have possibly got their bet placed at that level.

The problem here is that the body which is supposed to protect consumers is both slow to act and inept when it does. Usually they will tell a complainant that the perpetrator of the misleading advertising has agreed to withdraw it and so no further action will be taken – and all the service does is re-jig the figures to appear different and continue to mislead the public. I have long argued for a voluntary code of conduct for betting service providers which would allow them to be seen as offering truthful marketing material. Perhaps its time to try again.
