So, as feared the media can cause a frenzy. This situation came with a China warning. What if the next doesn't. What if it starts here and your family is quarantined?
If the food storage places run out of food - where will everyone turn?
Preparing with food and knowing how to cook it with or without power is very important.
As a Christian it is good to be prepared. I can prepare AND I can trust God.

The response to our email earlier this week proves everyone is concerned. Our Proverbs 31 Prepper books have been going off the shelves.
I am glad to know you care about the situation. Not enough to be scared but enough to care for your family.
To not be prepared means I am at the whims of our society and today is proof that is not good.
Just the toilet paper fiasco happening around the country shows how people pick their priorities.
Here are a few tips of what you can do to sensibly prepare for storms, power outages, job loss, or viruses. Plus I will re-share from my earlier email in case you missed it below.
Very short list of foods that will store well and won't cut into your budget too much:
- Grains - choose wisely and store well
- Water
- Canned Meat - tuna, salmon and chicken are perfect
- Dried beans - store for long periods, can be powdered or cooked
- Vegetables/ Fruits - dehydrated and freeze dried are best.
- Popcorn - perfect for fun family evenings

- Organic hard candy - hidden for adults 😊
This list is to get you thinking. Plan foods your family likes. Plan menus you know how to prepare quickly without leftovers.
