and I hope you had a fun July 4th weekend. I learned that 2 year old triplets can totally soak their grandparents with squirt guns! Yes - it was a lot of fun.
This Monday I wanted to answer a question that is asked often in our coaching series. (we will still let you join us since we are only 2 weeks into the 10 week class - just respond to this email for a link)
Question:
" I seem to eat all day and never feel full - why is that?"
This is a good question and one that many people ask and others just think they lack willpower.
It has nothing to do with willpower and it is not your fault!
Yet - you can help correct it.
Currently I am being certified as a Brain Health Specialist and in our lessons this week it was explained that there is one underlying factor contributing to this anomaly.
A low Vitamin D level contributes to leptin resistance.
When we don't feel full after a meal that should have made us leave the table half way through - we tend to eat more then necessary for a healthy life.
Yet - you are waiting to feel satisfied - waiting to feel full. And it never comes.
Leptin is the hormone designed by God to help us know: Hey, you are done - your body is satisfied - STOP EATING!
When we are out of balance by eating lab experiments - MANufactured foods and not God Designed foods following our Three Principles taught in all our books and coaching.....
Then our hormones are causing havoc.
Hormones affect everyone not just a teenagers. Hormones are the communication in our body that speaks to all systems and directs traffic.
Hormones help us be satisfied in all areas of life.
Hormones are made mostly in the gut.
Heal the gut and your hormones start sending signals for greater happiness.
Heal the microbiome - then your body creates neurotransmitters and then balance comes to the hormones.
Here are some steps to correct this leptin imbalance:
1. In our Facebook Grocery Discoveries each Friday I keep explaining foods to heal the gut. These videos are then moved to our Youtube channel. Please pay attention to this teaching. It is a FREE resource to keep you experiencing GREAT days.
2. Get your Vitamin D level checked. You don't need a doctor to be well or order tests. Go to Directlabs.com or Requestsatest.com and order a Vitamin D panel yourself. Very inexpensive.
3. Make sure your Vitamin D level is above 60 and preferably close to 100. Take vitamin D daily 365. There is never a day when you don't need to be improving this score.
4. Enjoy the sun. Yes, the plan from God was for us to enjoy his creation. It is proven when we are outside admiring His creation our stressors go down, our hormones are more active, our mental fog lifts and our T cells are healthier.
5. Finally practice measuring the food at each meal and start paying attention to the amount eaten and timing. We use the Hunger Satisfied Journal in our coaching series for this very insightful tool.
