What are you thinking?
Our thoughts work for us or against us. So what are you thinking today?
In our coaching classes many people ask about foods to eat, foods to avoid, how to cook and what books to read. YET - the question that needs to be first is What are you thinking?
Our thoughts lead to what we believe. Think a thought long enough and it leads to believing it.
What we believe becomes the force behind our actions.
So, if we don't like our actions(emotions) such as:
- not able to lose weight
- unable to accomplish a task
- feeling unloved
Then change what you believe about yourself or another person.
This yellow sticky note is staring at me as I work each day. If my mind tries to wander to a thought such as:
- This is too hard - too much work
- I would rather not wait till time to eat
- I can work instead of exercise - this is more important
- I'll start tomorrow to make those changes
Then I look at that yellow sticky note and say out loud - No - that is not me anymore!
Sabotaging thoughts: interrupt ~ inhibit ~ impede success.
It is time to live in Victory! By God's Design!
4 Steps to Victory Thoughts
1. Identify thoughts that are not in agreement with God's Word of YOU. There is no description of you that is condemning. God's design means you are able to heal, improve, love and be loved.
2. Ask if these thoughts are favoring your goals in: health, work and relationships.
If I start thinking thoughts about Steve such as: Why doesn't he help more? This is not favoring my relationship with him. Instead think - Steve helps me in many ways.
3. Believe only thoughts that are true to God's design. If God does not say this about you - then it is not true.
4. Act on truth! When we act on TRUTH - the truth becomes more of us. Find a Scripture verse to reinforce the truth. Jeremiah: I am loved with an everlasting love!
Our beliefs shape our health - our home life - our work experiences!
