I pray your holidays are going well; Christmas and Hanukah are true blessings and reminders of God's Grace and Provisions!
I once again am excited to see my family arrive for a week of fun! We actually cancelled our Thanksgiving party at the very last minute due to a Covid scare. So - now I say: Bring it on! Birthdays, Christmas, Snow skiing (hopefully) snow tubing in the mountains (hopefully). I am ready for some fun! Laughter! Games! Hugs!
But before we go to another party or family gathering let's review what we learned this year when it comes to health - satisfied - and letting food have its rightful place.
Remember food cannot comfort, make joyful, hug, love, or say you are beautiful and royalty.
Tell me your thoughts about this statement:
All hunger is spiritual
I agree with it. Because we are spiritual beings made in the image of God. Therefore honor God with our body.
We are going to be doing some deep dives into fasting in our Inner Circle starting January 4th - that door is opening for everyone later this week!
So - let's review three steps to keep your hunger and satiety hormones working well through this month.
1. Plan all eating.
I am not saying you can't have that piece of pie - just plan it. And if you do choose to eat that piece of pie make sure you have already eaten 2 bites of protein.
2. Protein first - when we eat protein as the first two bites of a meal or snack it steadily regulates the release of insulin. When the stomach receives one or two bites of protein first, the pancreas produces the hormone glucagon, to help digest the protein. This hormone is the antagonist of insulin and blocks insulin production. The result is lower insulin levels which stimulates fat burning, blocks fat synthesis, and prevents the dreaded attacks of a ravenous
appetite. Can I get an AMEN!
If eating at a restaurant - take 6 almonds with you to eat first to get the protein before the other foods.
3. Pause for Fellowship - let food be the nourishment and the fellowship be the dessert!
This crazy year has created the highest rates of suicide and depression. People need people in their lives.
Focus on the fellowship. Ask questions. Listen. Smile. Hug Everyone!
REVIEW
Ask yourself what accomplishments have you made this year for your health?
What are your goals for next year?
Would you like a community to come to the table and enjoy the fellowship of others while learning about Biblical health?
Are you ready to see your mental focus be as clear as the beautiful blue sky with no clouds?
Do you need to know you are on the right track with your health mentally, physically and spiritually?
If you answer yes to any of these questions - be watching for the email later this week as we open our Biblical Nutrition Academy Inner Circle.
The Inner Circle is for those who want to gather around the table and cherish God's recipe for excellent health! Doors open this week!
Membership does require the purchase of the 40 Day Transformation first. This course is our textbook for learning. If you have not checked that out - visit here.
