Part of our family holiday celebration - including the grandkids, is to check our answers to last years 12 questions.
The questions always include:
How many wins will the Cardinals have this year?
How much snow will STL have? (my son is a snow plow master)
And some years we guessed what will be the triplets names, or when will they be potty trained?
Our new question was how long can you hold a plank?
Then there are the questions we answer personally for ourselves such as:
What is one goal you hope to achieve this year?
What is one new skill you want to learn this year?
It is fun to read last year's answers and see how many we completed. It is also revealing to see where we were in our mindset last year.
We save these papers in the 'folder' and get to read our answers dating back to 2007. It is quite a time keeper of our thoughts and goals.
Now what about you?
Did you have goals from last year that earn points for completing right on schedule?
Do you have skills you wanted to learn and enjoy the progress?
Or were your goals missed again?
Here are some of my personal goals and skills from 2021:
- memorize 12 verses - I missed this by 3. So I wrote it again and also added it to my Todoist app to be reminded.
- learn marketing. I totally bombed this one. So my goal this year is to hire someone else to do it. (which includes hiring someone for social media)
- build more muscle strength - did not achieve this, so this coming year, Dr Couey (my coauthor) is going to help.
That is the way goals are - if they stay in front of us - they stay a priority. If they slip our vision we forget.
What about you?
What goals and skill are you ready to master?
That is where our team at The Biblical Nutritionist can help!
