Hello
This weekend we are having beautiful days and yet, the nights are getting back in the high 20's! Brrr my fruit trees are going to shiver their blossoms!
In case you can't tell I am emotionally attached to my garden and fruit trees. I would love to get heaters and keep them warm all night long or tuck them under a blanket!
Yet, it is totally out of my control.
Do you feel the same? Are you attached to your garden, the canned produce from last year, your well stocked home?
Ok, let me get to the heart of the matter today. Daily my team and I are getting numerous calls, emails and messages from our Biblical Nutrition family. I love hearing from you. The most common question right now is "should we stock up on grain and if so, where do you buy your foods?"
First let me say - the US does not get grain from Russia or Ukraine. Although, the countries that do get their supply from Russia and Ukraine will now be ordering from the US. Supply and demand is going to cause our prices to increase. Plus with more countries ordering from the US and Canada this may cause a potential shortage here. Pray we have great crops this coming season.
Today I am sharing several resources to buy food. Only 50% of our family is in the US but I hope these resources will be helpful to those outside of the US for learning and comparing.
Yes, you should stock up!
Some people are stocking up in silver and gold. I am not the expert in that area.
My decision is to have my family fully prepared.
My grain is my gold!
My MOST IMPORTANT tool in the kitchen is the mill!
Here are the places to order grain and all staples:
I do not have any affiliate association to these companies.
Adzure Standard - (deliver monthly) deliver across the US and possibly Canada. Last week they had the best price on 25# bags of grain and organic popcorn. They sell almost everything in the grocery
store.
Bread Beckers - delivers 3-4 times per year. Their co-ops are the best value for shipping. I ordered several grains in buckets and extra buckets/lids for more storage. They also will ship UPS if you are willing to pay the freight.
Country Life - They deliver to 15 states in the mid-west region.
East Coast Preppers - in the Virginia mountains. This store has everything necessary for being prepared. I do not know if he ships.
Yoder's Market - Stores like this are everywhere - look for an Amish or Mennonite store near you.
Quail Cove Farms - on the eastern shore of Virginia. Perfect pickup for Maryland, DC and Virginia foodies.
Localharvest.org - Use this link to find farmers near you. Change the city on the home page to your home town for local options. I use this to find fruit in season.
Meat - For those of you in Virginia - this is my favorite meat supplier. Harmony Hill Farms.
On any trip I make I am always on the lookout for quaint stores. Typically they have supplies that match my needs.
Remember, God loves you.
God is still in control.
It is Christian to be prepared!
The more prepared I am the more confident I can feed my family well during chaos and be a ministry to others.
If my family is not well cared for, even with this much long term notice, then I am not doing my job as caretaker.
Proverbs 31 shares how she prepares her family well. That is my prayer. I am on mission to help others and to nourish my family at the same time.
Thanks again for being part of this ministry. You are the reason we do this every day. We are honored to serve you!
Blessings to you!
