One takeaway from a coaching call this week occurred after reflecting on journaling your way to success:
"I have such JOY, and I know it is from the credits!"
Credits are reward successes that you document, or journal, that help you to rewire your brain for success. They are paramount to seeing the success your heart desires.
But I'm jumping ahead of myself...
Here's why this journaling system is important:
The primary focus of our brain determines our desire.
When Scripture says give us the desires of our heart, God is teaching us that the desires of our heart are very important.
When we are focused on seeing Him more in our life, our mind will make that happen.
When we focus on doubt, guilt, despair; our mind will find proof for those feelings. That is a credits system, a negative "reward" for the brain.
YET - a huge YET - if we focus on 'these things'(Phil. 4:8) as it says in Scripture - things that are pure, lovely, God honoring; then our brain will look for more - God honoring thoughts.
Focus on chocolate and our brain will find the hidden chocolate chips in the very back of your pantry and then give you pleasure for making the effort to find it.
As we near the end of January tell me, what are you thinking? Are your thoughts leading to the results MOST desired?
Becoming aware of these thoughts and how they are different from pure, lovely, etc. is the first step in beginning a health (or any) lasting transformation.
Here's how to start:
3 Key Points for Success in Your Health Journey
1. Start recording your 24 hour plan.
Recording is predetermining what you will eat in the next 24-hour period, prior to when it begins.
For example, spending 7-minutes after lunch, during your morning routine, or before going to bed you — tell yourself what you will eat the next day.
Then don't negotiate with yourself on the planned day.
This habit will begin to disconnect emotion from food.
2. GIVE YOURSELF CREDIT!
This is how you rewire your brain for success. No guilt served here. Only God blessed credits.
Here are some examples:
I followed my plan today!
I rode my bike today for 10 minutes.
I feel really blessed to have learned how to be set free from
health challenges.
I fasted one meal today.
I ate 3 vegetables today
NOTE - many people have struggled with giving themselves credit as if that took away from giving God glory. That makes sense yet, giving ourselves credit is acknowledging that with God I was able to ......
It is not taking away the praises of God at work - it is making note of how Him being at work is helping you break through bad habits.
3. Journal - use this space to record: feelings with the foods consumed, the thoughts processed and the new habits forming. The more we journal the quicker our success.
Write it to see it!
It was mentioned on the call this week that fighting this journaling system was not working.
However — using the steps mentioned above and expounded up in the Hunger Satisfied Journal during this time of boot camp brought incredible JOY and peace.

The prompts in the journal work because they follow biblical principles helping you realize - It is God at work in us and through us that brings the healing. (Phil 2:13)
This journey is just as much physical as it is Spiritual.
There is no separation between the two.
What we do physically is a result of our spiritual health.
Here are some verses you can meditate on for more contemplation:
Psalm 37:4
Proverbs 3:5
Romans 12:2
John 15:7
Psalm 21:2
