Did you know anxiety and ADD/ADHD are related? They are by-products of each other. One feeds the other.
This question came up at our conference this past weekend. It was such an incredible conference as the music by Lark10 was the perfect match for taking us to the throne of worship. I am still in that worshipful moment, even through to
today.
At conference, attendees were asked to write out questions they needed answers. I answered as many questions as time allowed, but this question had to wait. Yet the need for an answer is important.
So, today I am sharing with you what I would have shared on stage.
Anxiety stems directly from ADD/ADHD.
Though there are people, and perhaps you are one of them who does not have ADD/ADHD and still experience anxiety.
Both start in the brain. Both start with a nutritional imbalance and a belief.
I shared at conference we are only 1 bite and 1 belief from experiencing who we are designed to be.
What we eat feeds the microbiome, which then configures how well we metabolize foods and then feeds the brain ---> emotions.
What we believe captures emotions and traps the emotions that feed the wrong behavior or, if we believe contrary to God's Word, it can catapult beliefs to become a storm of anxiety.
Here are three tips for eating to beat anxiety and ADD/ADHD:
- Run as fast as possible away from ALL GMO and glyphosphate sprayed foods - they will change the chemistry in the brain and make anxiety seem more severe and often.
- Avoid all processed foods, which include additives, colorings, and preservatives.
- Grab all you can fresh foods and only bread products made from your own mill. These grains actually feed the microbiome quickly. I
have received testimonies about how a person's brain has calmed down with one piece of freshly milled bread. If you are gluten intolerant - stop eating all that almond flour. Too much almond flour can cause an imbalance and lead to estrogen problems. Enjoy almond flour in moderation and balanced with other grains.
Three tips to experience freedom from anxiety and ADD/ADHD:
- Look for plant extracts that work as good or even better than drugs such as Ritalin. Here is a video that suggests ingredients that will do this. This video shares about kids, but the science works for adults as well. Here is a link to the kid's product and the adult product.
- Read the book of John in the Bible and take notes on how much God loves you. Then read these verses several times per day. Both anxiety and ADD/ADHD start with
nutritional imbalance and also beliefs. John writes to help you tailor your beliefs in agreement with whom God says you are.
- Forgiveness - check this page for how to seek forgiveness and serve forgiveness to all you know.
