Imagine if God's people
had listened to the voice of the Lord their God.
They would have killed all enemies when they entered the Promised Land.
They would have continued to celebrate sabbaths each week and every jubilee.
They would not
have been taken into captivity.
They would not be facing annihilation.
Yet, the Jewish people are the same as us.
We too get distracted and swoon away into the trap of the bling blings of the
enemy. The dangling carrot.
We too, don’t always follow God in everything He asks.
We, too, get in a jam and need to fast and pray for answers.
God still has a plan, and it includes you. You are here
for such a time as this.

The Christian Reasons to Celebrate Purim:
Today our
kids live in fear. They need to know God is near.
The Biblical account of Esther - which is a factual story in history shows God can turn the tide of defeat for His glory and the saving of His people.
Our girls need a queen in their life who is true. No Disney character can match the glamor and
prestige of Esther.
Our boys need to hear how Mordecai kept his heart to do what is right. He refused to bow down to a person. He would only bow down to the One true God. Our boys need to see this may lead to threats and even possible danger - but God is there!
