Â
Happy Saturday!
Â
Shavuot (The Feast of Weeks) is next Thursday - Saturday! Is it about Moses
and the laws, or is it about the gift of the Holy Spirit?
It's both! And what a gift they both are.
Â
The laws were designed for our learning and to emphasize our need for a Savior. Â The gift of the Holy Spirit is for our comfort: But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.
(John 14:26). Yes, Jesus really said that and His words are alive in us
today.
Â
I can say, there have been more times than I can count where I would say something and knowing my lack of knowledge am astonished because what I just said was
totally not of my understanding. It was the Holy Spirit and His wisdom.
That is the gift of the Advocate we have been given.
So, do not be afraid, do not hold back. Â We are called to be bold and to live in a way that everyone around us will see that we cannot do this on our
own.
Â
So join me in celebrating this gift - the Holy Spirit!
Â
This is a wonderful time to share with your family and friends the faithfulness of our God!
