Being a grandmother of 7, these precious ones and their health is always on my mind.
Now being the grandmother of hundreds - meaning those moms who have reached out to me personally, who have no
mother in love (law) to help them, means the health of our kids is a high priority for me.
AND, as I am preparing for a talk on Fertility this weekend in Texas, it continues to remind me that we CAN change our health.
AND, we can help our kids change their health as well.
Kids and grandkids are dealing with health challenges greater than any time in history and we are to blame. It is rare for any baby to be born today without at least one anomaly. We don't have time today to go into how we arrived at this place, but we need to take time to make changes.
Our kids and grandkids
deserve to be nourished and cared for.
They need to learn and discover.
They need to be allowed to make mistakes.
YET, the struggles they are dealing with mentally and physically have changed the playground of their childhood.
As I walk through Walmart, the line at the pharmacy used to be those over 70 years old and a short line
at that. Today, it is families, young families and the kids look sick.
My heart breaks. But enough of that - let's talk healing!!!!!
Summer is the best season since, for most people, school is out. Or soon to be out.
This means you have more control over the schedule, the food and the activities.
What if instead of paying thousands of dollars for that vacation or sports camps, why not spend a little money and a lot of time investing in the health of your child?
One summer of healing can change the trajectory of a child's
life. Yes, I am not kidding!
Here is how to change that child from one who cannot concentrate to one who loves to learn and show off his discoveries.
I have 5 steps to help you get
started. But first know this, God created our bodies to heal. Medicine will never heal. It may help and be necessary at times, but only God heals.
So when that sinks into your heart and mind, why not go to the One who made us and "heals us" (exodus 15:26) for that healing?
Step 1 to healing our kids for happier days.
- Share the biblical account of Daniel or Esther with your kids. They were young and already knew how to be strong and courageous.
In my family I have designed our family banner - our shield. I took this design and made a large wall hanging from it with our name at the bottom. It hangs in each home for my grandkids to learn whose they are and how they are made. You can purchase the right to download this here. We have set the price low to offset the cost of the designer.
We all need daily reminders of who we are and whose we are.
