Hello, NYGC growers!

        It is my pleasure to welcome you to the NYGC! The NYGC 2024 starts tonight at Midnight! We are excited to grow together! 

This newsletter contains important information and dates for the NYGC 2024! Please read through it to learn all the fun details.  

NYGC 2024 Important Dates

• START DATE: The NYGC starts at Midnight Eastern Standard Time on January 1st. Drop your seeds or cut your clones any time after that! There is a LIVE NYGC launch party on the Smot Poker YouTube Channel. We will be on the air from 11pm -1am Eastern Time on New Year’s Eve! Join us for the official seed drop and kick off the NYGC and 2024 in style! 
• FLIP DATE: This NYGC does not have a set Flip Day. You can flip your plants from veg to flower whenever best suits you and your grow. 
• Side Challenge Clone Cutting Day: The side challenge this year is all about cloning. If you participate in the cloning side challenge, we plan to take cuttings from our plants on February 5^th!

The NYGC Theme and Groups

        This year’s NYGC theme is: Types of Growing Media! No matter what you grow in or how you grow – you have a home in the NYGC! We organized our challenge groups based around what media you grow your cannabis plants in. There are four challenge groups in this NYGC: Soil/Peat, Coco, Water, and our signature Misfits group. You can read more about each group on the challenge page. To join a group, you simply start a grow journal in that group’s section of the NYGC 2024 forum.

NYGC Participation: How to share your Grow

        The NYGC is all about growing together. We have many ways to collaborate and share with our Chat Room, Grower’s Forum, and our custom NYGC Forum. This year we are also welcoming you to post updates about your grow in other social media channels. Use the hashtag #NYGC24 when you post about your NYGC grow on social media!

        Regardless how you plan to update your grow, we ask that all participants in the NYGC start an NYGC Grow Journal in the official forum. If you plan to update your grow only on social media, tell us that, and include links in your first grow journal post.

      The Coco for Cannabis grow challenges are all about growing together and supporting each other so that we all have the most successful grows possible! Growing with a community is always more fun than growing alone, so please help us spread the word, and invite all of your growmies to join us in this year’s NYGC!
