Because we're all living in an unusual and challenging time. In the next week or so the clocks are changing, it's Halloween, there's the US Election, many of us are heading into more darkness and winter and, of course, COVID is still with us.
Let's take a deep breath together.
Through my journey I've come to realise the importance of ritual: the act of creating a positive habit that supports us (in this crazy world) and encourages us to step out of the maelstrom for a brief minute.
So this week I thought it would be helpful to share my absolute favourite calming daily ritual - to help us all get through tough times.
I use this (just 1 minute!) breathing exercise and visualisation to ground and connect with myself. This moment of calm, stillness and self-kindness can be experienced anytime, anywhere and it always brings me back to myself, away from a worrying or racing mind.
