Dear Friends of SANA,

Hope everyone is enjoying the summer. We have a lot of very exciting news to share with you!

SANA Healthcare Clinic

Our remodel is complete. We’ve added special ob-gyn beds and replaced the older beds. We now have the ability to perform vaginal and breast ultrasounds. We expanded our waiting areas and painted the entire clinic. It looks GREAT.

Dental Care

Our dentist started this month … the first time we have had dental patients since we had to close for the pandemic in March 2020.

SANA Preschool

This year is our largest class since the Covid pandemic began. We have 71 children enrolled; they take in-person classes 2 days a week and remote learning the other 3 days. We have 13 children that were malnourished at the beginning of the year, but with supplemental nutrition and vitamins, all are at the appropriate height and weight now.

SANA Annex

NEW project. Our goal is to educate more preschoolers so they can attend school and possibly, one day, even attend college! Our current space does not allow us to enlarge. However, we were able to purchase a plot of land adjacent to our clinic and are now building a 3-story education center slated to open in February 2023.

This will increase our preschool capacity to 180 children per year! It will also double the size of our library and allow us to add tutoring stations and a computer center.

In 2023, we will remodel the current education space in our clinic to provide medical education for new moms, and an area to teach Spanish reading/writing to adults in the community.
