Fort Worth appoints Mark McDaniel as new deputy city manager

Mark McDaniel, a seasoned public sector executive with more than 35 years experience, will be filling the role of deputy city manager in Fort Worth.

The details

This is not McDaniel’s first experience working in Fort Worth. According to a city news release, he previously served the city as interim chief transformation officer and helped create the FWLab, the city's innovations department.

McDaniel will begin his new role on Jan. 13, the news release states. His past experience in city management includes: In his most recent role, McDaniel served as senior vice president for Strategic Government Resources, where he conducted executive searches and led special consulting efforts, according to the news release.

“Mark brings an emphasis on finance, organizational development, performance improvement, planning, operations management and economic development,” City Manager David Cooke said.
