CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. (KFVS) - Full-time city employees in Cape Girardeau will be getting a retention “bonus” for their continual services to the city.
The ordinance passed 5-0 at the city council meeting on January 8.
This additional compensation is expected to be paid to city employees this month.
Funding for the bonus will come from the various departments’ current budgets, paying each full-time employee a one-time net payment of $1,000.
