And this is how we get ants

From the friendly caves of Pixie Hollow.

Mallory Archer may exist on gin, express utter disdain for her team, and abhor crumbs (that's how you get ants), but she really knows everything about her business.

Not only is she the lady in charge.

Not only was she a top tier spy in her day.

She can play the honeypot, the martial artist, the hard-a$$ boss lady.

She can wield weapons, fight like a pro, and kiss up to whoever she's trying to scam.

And when it comes down to the wire, she's still everyone's mama.

In fact, while Mallory Archer is a kind of anti-hero leader, she's also the kind of leader that you'd totally want to stand behind.

Take that time her agency wasbroke and she decided that running drugs for the CIA was a Good Thing to be doing.

She sold it really well.

Her team picked it up and ran with it.

And she backed them all the way, no matter what ridiculous kerfuffles they ended up in.

Leadership is one of those traits that you can develop, but which it helps to have been born with.

The best leaders I've ever worked under have had open-door policies, genuine interest, an all-pervading calm even in the face of terrifying workloads and unbelievable levels of responsibility. They may have drowned themselves in gin after hours for all I know, but - like Mallory Archer - were always well-dressed, perfectly mannered, and not averse to swearing like a pirate if the situation called for it.

I'm telling you this because content requires leadership.

As the executive in your business responsible for its outcomes, you can't miss the mark on this.

You have to take the lead:

You have to lead your subordinates.

You have to lead your superiors.

And you have to lead all interested parties (which sometimes also includes your board of directors).

If you do it well, then you'll get the kind of buy-in that others only dream about, and your content operations will simply fly along with an ease that doesn't stick without guidance, attention, and the love that only a leader can provide.

As we come up to the end of the year, now is the time to reflect on how well you're leading your content projects.

What's going well?

What could you do better?

And what will you change in the coming year?

Because we've literally got just 7 days left until Christmas Eve, and you might already be on summer holidays.

Nevertheless, consider what's going on in your projects in 2022. And if you feel like your leadership could take a bit of a boost, book in some consulting to get you moving.

Or any other service - and in happy reply I'll gift you 15% off for the first quarter of the year.

This deal applies to all of these, and more...
But you've only got 7  days left to decide.

Hear that second hand? It's counting down the hours until this deal expires. Tick.

Tick.

Tick.
