You can create game-changing communications experiences by:
1. Understanding the rules of your own game, and then what would lift real, financial, personal, or asset value of your clients.
2. Document your culture's customs as if it's a novel that breeds joy.
3. Mystery shopping your existing experience, with a view to accepting whatever is the outcome. Don't use an agency. Use someone in a wildly different industry. Pay them handsomely to be honest.
4. Looking at the norm in your industry and then taking a sharp left-hand turn.
5. Questioning every template that you've just 'accepted', in all software. This includes emails, CRMs, form letters, magazines, newsletters, images...
6. Imagine you can create any outcome you like. Work to that vision.
7. Invest in help to think.
Getting a specialist view sometimes requires paying someone to be in your corner.
Not to do something in particular.
Not to give you a solution.
But to exist so you can access their ideas, worldview, and perspectives.
Only those at the top of their game tend to do it. But if you could do it, what would it do to change *your* game? Reply and let me know.
