This is the 150th issue of the monthly newsletter that started in September 2010, nine months after EPN Consulting was established. It evolved through the years until the current format. In the next months you will see further changes in the topics presented as there will be differentiation from the one that is going to be published in Spring 2023 by the Dublin-based EPN Consulting Research and Innovation. The European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) launched its online public dashboard bringing together all the programmes that have been entrusted to it by the European Commission. Read more

The EC presented a Green Deal Industrial Plan to enhance the competitiveness of Europe's net-zero industry and support the fast transition to climate neutrality. Fresh Data, Fresh Thinking: Google project Air view results

Over 50 million street-level air quality data measurements released by Dublin City Council and Google as part of Project Air View. The project was delivered in partnership with the City Council, with data captured by Google’s first electric Street View car equipped with Aclima’s mobile air sensing platform. Read more

Coventry University launches the National Centre for Accessible Transport

Coventry University recently launched the National Centre for Accessible Transport (NCAT) with the aim to make future and existing modes of transport accessible to all. A UK first in inclusive transport, NCAT is a £20 million project funded by Motability, the charity, and is led by Professor Paul Herriotts, based at the university’s National Transport Design Centre (NTDC), working alongside a number of organisations that form a specialist consortium. EPN Consulting Research and Innovation recognised as a Sustainability Innovator

The Dublin-based Guinness Enterprise Centre is leading an action to deliver a Circular Economy Hub, under Strategic Objective 4 of the Dublin Regional Enterprise Plan – 2024, which sets out to enable and position business as leaders in Dublin’s low carbon transition. Last 24th Feb 2023 the Guinness Enterprise Centre launched the Sustainability@GEC. Read more

The Website of the Month: The Climate Group

They are an international non-profit founded in 2003, with offices in London, New York, New Delhi, Amsterdam and Beijing. In that time, they have grown their network to include over 500 multinational businesses in 175 markets worldwide. The Under2 Coalition, for which they are the Secretariat, is made up of over 260 governments globally, representing 1.75 billion people and 50% of the global economy. Read more
