what it’s been like living as an autistic person with no expressive language/speech available to him. His message? “We’re here. We’re smart and able to learn if you’ll teach us. We understand everything you say and are always listening, even if we appear to be “off in our own world.” Assume our intelligence please and search for ways to have empathy for us. We overcome so many challenges each day that you wouldn’t believe!” And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Annette Musso has explored the “spectrum” of autism
therapies and experienced most of them. She is perhaps, not just the Mom of a beautiful angel with autism, but a mom on a mission! Finally able to communicate with her son on the most intimate of emotional and cognitive levels through a letter board, she is helping Matteo reach his learning goals and accomplish his life-mission. Having reached the “summit of peace” within herself after many years of struggling with stress and sadness, she is now helping other parents and professionals open their
eyes to new possibilities and attitudes about autism through her non-profit organization, Creative Autism Solutions Team.
