Today Is National Scotch Day
Sweet Bourbon Salmon
Do You Cook With Alcohol?
I admit, I frequently use wine in cooking. Sometimes I use brandy or bourbon. I have never used Scotch whiskey to cook with. That seems VERY expensive. With today being National Scotch Day, perhaps just pour yourself a shot and use the cheaper stuff to cook with. :-)
This Sweet Bourbon Salmon Recipe might seem a little complicated, but it only takes about 25 minutes to make. The bourbon adds an amazing
flavor and the brown sugar sweetens it up. This recipe is so, so good. You're definitely going to want to try it.
Do Know Wonder Why You Hurt?
If you hurt and don't know why, I suggest you pick up a copy of my new book, It Ain't Just The Diet Food Journal: A Daily Guide To Finding & Managing Your Food Allergies. It might help you figure out what's going on. It helped me.
If you're like me, you have probably tried a lot of diets. But I have not had lasting success with them. Have you?
Instead, I developed a food journal, kept track of what I ate and the symptoms I experienced until I discovered what was making me hurt. It turns out that what was making me hurt also made my body hold onto extra weight.
My food journal worked for me. It might work for you, too. What do you think?

Hello ,
July 27th is "National Scotch Day." Who knew there was such a day? I certainly didn't until I looked at my calendar. I'm not a Scotch drinker. I know it's an acquired taste, but it's not one I'm going to acquire even though Don and I watch a lot of British TV where everyone seems to drink Scotch, don't they? Do you like Scotch?
In this issue, I'm sharing with you two salmon recipes (which seems a little healthier than sitting around drinking Scotch).
Salmon is full of good Omega-3 fatty acids, Vitamin B, and so much more. Sometimes I find salmon a little "fishy" tasting. You definitely won't experience a "fishiness" if you make Sweet Bourbon Salmon (recipe above) or Grilled Herbed Salmon Salad (recipe below). Both recipes are quite flavorful.
The key to cooking salmon is to undercook it a bit. Moist salmon is SO much better than dry.
I Love It When YOU Share

Grilled Herbed Salmon Salad
Grilled Herbed Salmon Salad
Have a Salad!
I use Herbes de Provence in the marinade for the salmon and the vinaigrette. There's something about that mixture of herbs that makes me exclaim, "Mmmmm!" every time. But you can use any herbs you prefer.
You will, of course, need either an indoor grill (affiliate link) or outdoor grill (affiliate link). Buy the best you can afford, and you'll never be sorry.
Make yourself a crunchy salad with kale, lettuces, broccoli, tomatoes, whatever you like. Add some kalamata olives and your grilled salmon. Feel like royalty and enjoy!
