Do You Know How To Make Perfect Coffee?
Tomorrow (September 29) is National Coffee Day. I am a coffee lover. I make a pot every morning. I love the smell and taste of a cup of coffee. (It's one of the reasons this newsletter is called "Smell the Coffee.")
To me, the perfect cup of coffee is bold and robust, without being bitter.
My favorite flavor and brand is Cafe Cubano by Mayorga (affiliate link). The beans come from Latin America and are dark
roasted in Maryland. It’s rich, bold and flavorful without being bitter.
I tell you exactly how to make amazing coffee in the recipe.

Hello ,
I'm so excited to tell you my memoir cookbook, It Ain't Just The Diet COOKBOOK: How I Beat Allergies One Bite At At Time is in the hands of the indexer. It has been an excruciating process, but it won't be long now until it's available. I can't wait to share it with you.
Cooking School Update
We had a fun time making breakfast for dinner with the teenage grandkids last week. We taught them a hack for making poached eggs. Amelia showed us how she makes sausage gravy. And Don taught Taevi how to make biscuits from scratch. (Sorry, we don't have that recipe posted yet.)

Chicken Piccata Easy Recipe
What Is It About Italian Food?
People really love it, right? I know I do. But you don't have to go to a restaurant to have this classic dish, Chicken Piccata. It's super easy and only takes a half an hour.
Ten simple ingredients. The only one you might not have on hand is capers (affiliate link), which is one of my favorite ingredients. It adds some color and a bit of tang to the recipe.
The sauce is made from a little white wine, butter and lemon. How can you go wrong with chicken in wine sauce?
