I just ordered a proof of my memoir cookbook, It Ain't Just The Diet COOKBOOK: How I Beat Allergies One Bite At At Time. Now THIS really has me excited. I hope it does you, too!

It tells my whole messy health story—the good, the bad, and the ugly—and how I lost 40 pounds without dieting, stopped my health decline, and actually got rid of chronic pain. My memoir cookbook, containing 30 scrumptious recipes and full-color pictures, will be available in a couple weeks. Yay!

Let Me Suggest A Few Recipes

We had our local, teenage grandkids over for "cooking school" yesterday, and they wanted Fried Chicken and Waffles, a real Southern meal. You'll find the links below. Some restaurants serve chicken and waffles with gravy, so I'm giving you a recipe for that, too. The gravy recipe starts with turkey drippings, but you can use chicken stock or bouillon, and the gravy will still be tasty.

Granddaughter Asked For Fried Chicken

The "picky eater" granddaughter. So, of course, we put it on our "cooking school" menu. She declared it "good" but not as good as "Grandma Peggy's." She's so cute. (Great) Grandma Peggy is the queen of food as far as Amelia is concerned. She likes her meat, biscuits and gravy, and other Southern specialties, and not much more.

Our recipe is excellent, but we might have to go talk to Grandma Peggy to see what she does differently. ;-)
