Hello ,
What's new with you? Don and I did our first podcast today with Dawn Davis Womack, a local podcaster with the podcast "Virginia Is For Laughers with X2 Comedy."
Now, you wouldn't think cooking, recipes and health would be all that funny, but we managed quite a few laughs during the hour-long show. It will "drop" (as they say in the business) either December 1 or 8. That will give you plenty of time to sign up for the Virginia Is For Laughers with X2 Comedy podcast on Apple. I'll give you more information next week.
And we have more good news! I'm putting together a Holiday Book Fair with Local Authors! Mark your calendar now for Saturday, December 11, in the afternoon. We will be in downtown Harrisonburg, 41 Court Square, in the large common space between Capital Ale House and Court Square Theater. I expect to have 10 local authors ready to
answer your questions FOR FREE about being an author, how they got started, what they do to keep motivated, and lots more. They will be happy to sign their books for you when you buy them, too!
The Holiday Book Fair is the same day as Winterfest, so bring the kids and enjoy a fun time in Harrisonburg.
Until next week...
Be happy,
Lois
P.S. I'd love to hear from you. You can simply reply to this email. I personally answer all my email messages from readers.
Did You Get Your Copy of My Memoir Cookbook Yet?
It has been a long time coming, but my memoir cookbook, It Ain't Just The Diet COOKBOOK is ready!
Let Me Tell You About It
It Ain't Just the Diet COOKBOOK: How I Beat Food Allergies One Bite at a Time contains 30 of my most enticing recipes and tells you my whole messy health
history—what I did right and what I did wrong.
This memoir cookbook is for you if you are trying (like I was a few years ago) to find a solution to painful joints, inflammation, foggy brain, weight gain (or loss), and myriad other uncomfortable, unexplained symptoms. Through my story, research and recipes, I hope to open your eyes, engage your mind, and help you fill your
tummy with foods you not only enjoy but that are good for you, too.
My
Story
I share my detailed health history, showing how food allergies, sensitivities and
intolerances led me to suffer serious health issues and nearly die, while propelling my 70-pound weight gain. When doctors merely treated the symptoms of my diseases with medicines, I began to take my health into my own hands, discovering that food allergies, sensitivities and intolerances were the root cause of many of my health problems.
By eliminating the foods that caused these problems, I lost 40 pounds without dieting, rid my body of pain, and I believe, healed myself with food. I share my health secrets and 30 scrumptious whole-foods recipes that make becoming dairy-free, gluten-free, and soy-free well worth the effort.
