Have you kept your child-like wonder? Life is full of fascinating things to ponder, especially in nature. Walking, hiking, sitting by a lake, or meandering along a country road can restore my soul.

I hear a bird and I wonder how far it flew when it migrated. I think about how the wind feels on my skin and marvel at the abundance of colors surrounding me. Nature has a way of prompting questions, doesn't it? ...

Hola from Costa Rica !

By the time you read this, Don and I will be headed to San Jose to go home to Virginia. It has been a beautiful three-month trip and we have enjoyed it immensely. I hope you have enjoyed hearing about it.

Looking Forward to Being Home

We are excited to be getting home to our own kitchen. Rentals never have the quality kitchen tools that we have at home! We really missed our pans, mini food processor, garlic press, and electric mixer.

The flowers in my garden at home should be popping up. A neighbor sent a picture of my crocuses. I imagine I missed them this year. Perhaps I will have some hyacinths, daffodils and tulips blooming. My flowers are staggered so there might not be much color right now, but I'm sure we will see beautiful signs of spring.

Today's Tip

Today's recipe is Basted Eggs. They are fried eggs you don't have to flip over. When I was a kid, we basted our eggs by splashing the grease on them. But this recipe is so much simpler. There is no chance of splashing yourself with grease!
