At the Marriage
Recovery Center, we are always striving to expand and refine our view of healing in order to create the most effective pathways to healing. We recently added a new modality to our practice that we are really excited about, and that is EMDR which stands for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing.
Join Marriage Recovery Center's EMDR specialist Leigh Ann Fernandez as she talks with fellow MRC clinicians about what EMDR is, how it works, and why she believes it is such a powerful tool for creating breakthroughs in healing, particularly for people who are stuck in a fight or flight mode which causes them to either shut down, or react aggressively (or passive aggressively) to perceived threats. It has been shown to be very effective in
bringing down the body's stress response to trauma, and can help with things like depression and anxiety, anger, resentment and rage.
This is the first of a new video series on EMDR. If you are curious about how EMDR can help you, you won't want to miss this series! As a MRC newsletter subscriber, you'll be the first to be notified when the next video in the series is released, so stay tuned!
