Hanbury Racing Tips – 12 May 2022 - Premium Tips
Whatcoloristhewind – 5.45 Fontwell – 2m1.5F Handicap Hurdle – 40/1 Sky/Coral- 4 places (Bet365 & Will Hill best priced 50/1) – 4 places – 1 Point Each way.
I put up Whatcoloristhewind last time out and he travelled well behind the leaders for a long way, and I thought he was in with a chance coming into the home straight, but he weakened a little tamely to be run out of the places.
Today a tongue tie has been added, so it looks like he had an issue in the race, so that can be excused, and that effort marked up.
He ran at Exeter last time and it was noticeable he was jumping out to his left, so a return to left-handed Fontwell is another big bonus.
He won’t need much of a step forward to win this and is so unexposed he could easily get involved and win this at juicy odds of 40/1.
I, therefore, recommend 1 point each way
Whatcoloristhewind – 5.40 Exeter – 2m 2.5F Handicap Hurdle – 40/1 Bet365, Ladbrokes, Coral – 5 places – BOG – 1 Point Each-Way.
This is a big field class 5 handicap dominated by David Pipe’s Kolisi who is looking for a quickfire hattrick after winning twice convincingly in the last seven days. The 14lb penalty may not stop him but having his third run in seven days could mean he runs a bit flat today, and at 6/5 in a 16 runner handicap, he has to be taken on with an each-way play where we can get five places.
The one I like at a price is Whatcoloristhewind, who was originally trained in Ireland by Gordon Elliott but showed very little in one NH flat race and three maiden hurdles where he postmarked a high of just 59.
He moved to Seamus Mullins UK yard and has run just twice, once in another maiden hurdle, where he again ran poorly, the other making his handicap debut over 2 miles off a mark of 70.
Now, this handicap run showed me he has a race in him. He was dropped out last, travelled sweetly, and jumped slickly, before getting outpaced half a mile before staying on well under tender handling only going down by 10 lengths.
I’m really glad they step him up 2.5 furlongs today and with the good ground again today I’m expecting a bold show.
At 40/1 with Bet365, Ladbrokes, and Coral, who all go BOG and 5 places I recommend 1 point each way.
He is still value at 18/1.
