Maybe it's something I didn't mention.
Be it emotional, physical or spiritual hurt, a "holiday" or the "new year" seems to magnify the suffering.
Hurting people tend to resort to compulsive behaviors to cope with the pain.
Sadly, unhealthy patterns of thinking and behaving only serve to bury and irritate the pain.
Compulsive coping teaches us to deal with a problem by pushing it away. It becomes an automatic reflex to avoid the discomfort.
And in my case...until my body decided it had
HAD ENOUGH.
