Emotions can generally be categorized
into one of two categories: ➕positive or ➖negative.
Positive emotions help us 📈 improve our well-being and quality of life.
Negative emotions usually take a 📉 toll on our body, both mentally and physically when they are not dealt with properly.
Neutral emotions are neither ➕positive or ➖negative.
Being emotionally neutral is
more than a feeling, it’s a framework for thinking that minimizes negative reactions and keeps us from getting caught up in all the hype about maintaining a perpetual *positivity mindset*, like an emotional energizer bunny.
Eventually, our batteries will run down.
It's part of the ups and downs of life.
Having a thought framework that eliminates the need to be the energizer bunny frees our mind to perform more efficiently and at a pace that keeps our well-being in tact.
During this week's Mind Moments Community RETHiNK Strategy Sessions, members are going to spend some time considering the benefits of using a BODY SCAN to gain a greater sense of bodily awareness and learn to recognize the
early signs of stress or emotional distress.
