Mae Cymdeithas Chwaraeon Llysfaen yn gweithio mewn partneriaeth â Youth Shedz i ddatblygu lle diogel i bobl ifanc, i wneud yr hyn y maent am ei wneud drostynt eu hunain a'u cymuned - ac mae angen gwirfoddolwyr arnynt i'w cefnogi yn ystod y sesiynau. Os ydych chi'n teimlo'n angerddol am bobl ifanc, ac yn gwybod ychydig am waith llaw a DIY, yn gwneud unrhyw beth o beintio i gynnal a chadw beiciau, neu'n gallu rhoi help llaw i ddatblygu'r lle diogel yma i bobl ifanc yn Llysfaen, dyma gyfle delfrydol i chi! Fel Gwirfoddolwr, rhaid i chi fod yn gwbl ymrwymedig i genhadaeth a gwerthoedd craidd Youth Shedz. Rhaid i chi fod yn empathetig a mwynhau cyfarfod pobl ifanc a rhyngweithio â nhw. Byddai profiad o wirfoddoli gyda phobl ifanc "anodd eu cyrraedd" yn fanteisiol iawn.

Mae Youth Shedz hefyd yn chwilio am Wirfoddolwyr Cynorthwyol Realiti Rhithwir i helpu i gyflwyno sesiynau VR ac i fanteisio i’r eithaf ar VR ar gyfer ein pobl ifanc yng Ngogledd Cymru. Bydd costau teithio'n cael eu had-dalu. Bydd angen archwiliad gan y Gwasanaeth Datgelu a Gwahardd ar gyfer y ddwy rôl.

Kidney Reasearch UK yw'r brif elusen genedlaethol ym maes ymchwil i'r arennau a'u cenhadaeth frys yw dod â chlefyd yr arennau i ben, gan gynnig gobaith i gleifion yr arennau a'u teuluoedd ar gyfer y dyfodol. Ond ni allant wneud hynny heb eich help chi! Maent yn chwilio am Lysgenhadon Cymunedol Gwirfoddol newydd sy'n helpu i ledaenu'r gair am yr holl waith anhygoel y mae eu tîm yn ei wneud yn brwydro i roi terfyn ar glefyd yr arennau am byth. Maent yn chwilio am bobl sy'n angerddol am Kidney Research UK, ac sydd am eu helpu i fynd allan i'n cymunedau lleol i annog eraill i'w cefnogi nhw a'u gwaith.

Yn ogystal â chwarae eich rhan i helpu i frwydro yn erbyn clefyd yr arennau, byddwch hefyd yn gwneud y canlynol:

Mae Vision Support yn elusen ranbarthol sy'n darparu cymorth a gwasanaethau lleol yn y gymuned. Mae'r sefydliad yn cefnogi pobl â nam ar eu golwg ac yn codi ymwybyddiaeth o'u hanghenion. Maent yn chwilio am Wirfoddolwyr Gweinyddu Dros y Ffôn i gynyddu eu hymgysylltiad â’u defnyddwyr gwasanaethau drwy eu hatgoffa am grŵp neu weithgaredd sydd ar y gweill. Mae tasgau rheolaidd yn cynnwys: cyflwyno galwadau atgoffa i ddefnyddwyr gwasanaeth yn rheolaidd, cysylltu ag aelodau staff, ffonio gwahanol randdeiliaid i roi gwybod iddynt am wybodaeth bwysig. Mae angen sgiliau cyfathrebu a threfnu rhagorol ar gyfer y rôl hon. Byddwch yn cael hyfforddiant llawn ym mhob agwedd ar y sefydliad. Bydd costau teithio / mân dreuliau yn cael eu had-dalu. Mae Vision Support hefyd yn chwilio am Wirfoddolwyr Cyfeillio Dros y Ffôn ar gyfer y prosiect Let's Talk, i sgwrsio ar y ffôn â phobl a allai fod yn gaeth i'r tŷ neu sy'n byw ar eu pennau eu hunain a sicrhau eu bod yn derbyn unrhyw wasanaethau eraill y gallai fod eu hangen arnynt. Fel Gwirfoddolwr Let’s Talk, byddwch yn ffonio'r defnyddiwr/defnyddwyr gwasanaeth yn rheolaidd ar ddiwrnod ac amser y cytunwyd arno, yn glust i wrando ac yn darparu cymorth emosiynol lle bo angen gan nodi unrhyw anghenion pellach sydd ganddynt a chyda'u caniatâd, trosglwyddo'r wybodaeth hon i'w Gweithiwr Datblygu Cymunedol penodol. Mae'n gyfle gwirioneddol i gael effaith gadarnhaol ar fywydau pobl sydd wedi colli eu golwg yn y gymuned. Darperir hyfforddiant llawn.

Mae'r Bil Elusennau, a gyhoeddwyd ym mis Mai 2021, yn cynnig nifer o newidiadau pwysig i'r gyfraith elusennau. Mae'r Comisiwn Elusennau wedi bod yn gweithio'n agos gydag elusennau a'u cyrff cynrychioliadol i gyflwyno'r newidiadau hyn ac mae'n dilyn ymgynghori helaeth dros nifer o flynyddoedd.

Mae’r newidiadau arfaethedig allweddol a allai ddod yn gyfraith yn 2022 yn cynnwys y canlynol:

• Bydd elusennau ac ymddiriedolwyr yn gallu diwygio eu dogfennau llywodraethu neu Siarteri Brenhinol yn haws
• Bydd gan elusennau fynediad at gronfa lawer ehangach o gynghorwyr proffesiynol ar waredu tir
• Bydd gan elusennau fwy o hyblygrwydd i ddefnyddio ‘gwaddol parhaol’ – arian neu eiddo yw hwn a oedd i fod, yn wreiddiol, i gael ei ddal gan elusen am byth  
• Bydd ymddiriedolwyr yn gallu cael eu talu am nwyddau a ddarperir i elusen o dan rai amgylchiadau
• Bydd elusennau yn gallu manteisio ar reolau symlach a thecach ar gyfer apeliadau a fethodd.

Llysfaen Sports Association are partnering with Youth Shedz to develop a safe space for young people, to do what they want to do for themselves and their community - and they need volunteers to support them during the sessions. If you are passionate about young people, and know a bit about handywork and DIY, doing anything from painting to bike maintenance, or are able to lend a hand to develop this safe space for young people in Llysfaen, this is your ideal opportunity! As a Volunteer you must be fully committed to the Youth Shedz Mission and Core values. You must be empathetic and enjoy meeting with and interacting with young people. Experience of volunteering with “hard to reach” young people would be highly advantageous.

Youth Shedz are also seeking Virtual Reality Assistant Volunteers to help deliver VR sessions and to make the most out of VR for our young people in North Wales. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. Both roles are subject to a DBS check.

Kidney Reasearch UK is the national leading charity in kidney research and their urgent mission is to end kidney disease, offering kidney patients and their families hope for the future. But they can’t do it without you! They are on the lookout for new Volunteer Community Ambassadors helping to spread the word about all of the amazing work their team do fighting to end kidney disease for good. They are looking for people who are passionate about Kidney Research UK, and who want to help them get out into our local communities to encourage others to support them and their work.

As well as playing your part in helping to fight kidney disease, you will also:

• Develop your communication and leadership skills
• Gain volunteer experience to put on your CV
• Learn about current research
• Receive a Kidney Research UK t-shirt and pin badge

Vision Support is a regional charity providing local support and services within the community. The organisation supports vision impaired people and raises awareness of their needs. They are seeking Telephone Administration Volunteers to increase service user engagement by reminding them about an upcoming group or activity. Regular tasks include: to deliver reminder calls to service users on a regular basis, to liaise with staff members, to call different stakeholders to let them know of important information. Excellent communication and organisation skills are required for this role. You will receive full training in all aspects of the organisation. Travelling/out of pocket expenses will be reimbursed. Vision Support is also looking for Telephone Befriender Volunteers for the Let’s Talk project, to chat on the phone to people who may be housebound or live alone and ensuring that they are receiving any other services that they may need. As a Let’s Talk Volunteer you will phone service user(s) regularly on an agreed day and time, be a listening ear and provide emotional support where needed and identify any further needs they may have and with their permission pass this information on to their named Community Development Worker. It is a real opportunity to make a positive impact to people living with sight loss in the community. Full training will be provided.

CVSC’s Community Support Hub is a positive and significant step in ensuring that Conwy’s residents have meaningful access to information, guidance and practical support from trusted providers throughout the area.

CVSC’s trained and knowledgeable staff members will be at hand to support residents wishing to gain information and support on a range of matters that affect their wellbeing.

Here at CVSC, we recognise the barriers people face in accessing information and support, so this isn’t yet another signposting service – we really are here to help. Just one call to our dedicated phone service is all it takes, to discover the full range of information, guidance and support offered by the voluntary and community sector and how it can benefit your own wellbeing.

CVSC was approached recently about facilitating a Forum for the County Borough of Conwy’s various food banks, food shares and food services providers.  Two meetings have been held so far to explore whether a Forum is wanted and useful to have.   To date, a What’s App group has been set up to share information between members, for example to put a call out to share any surplus stock, swap items, share good practice etc.   Where permission has been given, information about the food banks, such as the areas they cover and contact details, has been shared with the North Wales Food Poverty Alliance and others.  The next meeting will be held on 3rd of February 2022 at 2pm via Zoom.  If you are a food bank, food share or provide any other form of food service to those in need, and would like more information and/or would like to attend, please contact Ann Westmoreland [email protected] Tel 01492 523849

The Charities Bill, announced in May 2021, proposes several important, changes to charity law. The Charity Commission has been working closely with charities and their representative bodies to bring these changes forward and follows extensive consultation over several years.

Key proposed changes which could become law in 2022 include:

• Charities and trustees will be able to amend their governing documents or Royal Charters more easily 
• Charities will have access to a much wider pool of professional advisors on land disposal
• Charities will have more flexibility to make use of a ‘permanent endowment’ – this is money or property originally meant to be held by a charity forever.
• Trustees will be able to be paid for goods provided to a charity in certain circumstances,
• Charities will be able to take advantage of simpler and more proportionate rules on failed appeals.

In response to guidance around coronavirus, CVSC Office is closed, but all staff remain fully available via email and telephone.  We are here to support not only existing voluntary and community groups, but any new initiatives and voluntary activities. 

Our role is even more vital now in helping you to support your communities in Conwy, with guidance, information on funding etc
