Mae Canolfan Gymunedol Bryn Cadno (Colwyn Heights) yn elusen gofrestredig sy'n cael ei rhedeg gan fwrdd o ymddiriedolwyr, y mae pob un ohonynt yn wirfoddolwyr. Mae'r ganolfan yn cael ei llogi gan gleientiaid sy'n cynnal amrywiaeth o ddosbarthiadau a gweithgareddau i oedolion a phlant. Mae'r ymddiriedolwyr, ynghyd â grŵp bach o wirfoddolwyr, hefyd yn cynnal gweithgareddau cymdeithasol a chodi arian. Ar hyn o bryd maent yn chwilio am Ymddiriedolwr a fydd hefyd yn ymgymryd â chyfrifoldebau Trysorydd. Byddwch yn ymuno â thîm cyfeillgar a chefnogol o Wirfoddolwyr sy'n gofalu am y ganolfan ac yn parhau i sicrhau ei bod yn chwarae rhan berthnasol yn y gymuned. Fel Trysorydd, byddwch yn gyfrifol am gyfrifyddu o ddydd i ddydd (cyhoeddi anfonebau, gwneud taliadau ac ati), cadw cofnodion ariannol, cyflwyno adroddiadau ariannol i fwrdd yr ymddiriedolwyr mewn cyfarfodydd a darparu gwybodaeth i'n cyfrifwyr bob blwyddyn, i'w galluogi i lunio ein cyfrifon blynyddol. Byddai'r cyfle hwn yn ddelfrydol ar gyfer rhywun sydd â gwybodaeth neu ddiddordeb mewn cyllid/cyfrifon, ond byddai hyfforddiant yn cael ei ddarparu fel rhan o'r cyfnod trosglwyddo gan y trysorydd presennol.

Mae'r Ganolfan Gymunedol hefyd yn chwilio am wirfoddolwyr i wneud mân waith cynnal a chadw, mân atgyweiriadau, garddio ac ati a helpu gyda gweithgareddau codi arian/cymdeithasol.

Mae Hope Restored yn helpu pobl ddigartref a phobl sy'n llai ffodus na ni ein hunain. Maent yn cychwyn ar brosiect newydd i helpu pobl ddigartref yn ardal Llandudno ac mae arnynt angen Gwirfoddolwyr Gwrywaidd i fod yn bresennol/goruchwylio dros nos, 9pm – 8am.

Bydd Hope Restored yn darparu lle, i ddynion digartref ar hyn o bryd gysgu mewn amgylchedd diogel, cynnes a sych, gan roi ychydig o seibiant iddynt rhag gorfod cysgu y tu allan yn y tywydd gwlyb, oer. Ar hyn o bryd dim ond am ychydig ddyddiau'r wythnos y maen nhw'n gallu cynnig y gwasanaeth ond maen nhw'n gobeithio ehangu ar hyn. Bydd gwelyau gwersylla a dillad gwely cyfforddus yn cael eu darparu, ynghyd â diodydd poeth a chyfleusterau ymolchi a thoiledau. Bydd cleientiaid yn cofrestru ar gyfer y gwasanaeth a rhaid iddynt gadw at y rhestr o reolau. Mae hyn yn helpu pawb i fwynhau eu noson a gadael yn teimlo wedi cael gorffwys ac yn llai blinedig y bore canlynol.

Mae Carers UK eisiau cymdeithas sy'n parchu, yn gwerthfawrogi ac yn cefnogi gofalwyr. Eu cenhadaeth yw gwneud bywyd yn well i ofalwyr drwy roi cyngor, gwybodaeth a chefnogaeth arbenigol. Maent yn cysylltu gofalwyr fel nad oes rhaid i neb ofalu ar eu pen eu hunain. Maent am recriwtio Gwirfoddolwyr Cymorth Gwrando. Ydych chi’n dda am wrando? In this period of transition and hopefully recovery, CVSC remains here to support you and your organisation. To do this fully, we will once again waive our membership fees for 2022/23 to ensure that you continue to receive our priority membership information, guidance, and funding opportunities in a seamless manner.

We will therefore simply roll over your membership, but we do ask you to please keep us up to date with your contact information – so that the right person can then cascade the information out appropriately – and so that we can continue to pull together and support our service users to the best of our ability.

Following a successful art project funded by Gwynt Y Môr in 2019, Royal Cambrian approached Gwynt Y Môr for a second round of funding to continue the Art Project in partnership with Conwy Connect due to demand and success of first project.

The project was led by The Royal Cambrian Academy and managed by Nadine Carter-Smith who developed and managed the project in its first year. The Royal Cambrian Academy (RCA) continued working with Conwy Connect and Disability Arts Cymru (DAC) to develop these partnerships further. Workshops were for members of Conwy Connect, their families and carers with 20 art workshops developed over the year.

The aim of the Conwy Connect/RCA project was to make art accessible to members of our community who may not usually feel able to visit the gallery.  All of the participants had very different physical needs, the lady in this case study, Roisin, is blind.  It was crucial that we created activities that all participants could fully engage in and enjoy from home.

RCA did consider postponing the project until Covid restrictions lifted as the focus had been on getting individuals into the gallery, but eventually after talking to participants and their families they realised that the project was more important than ever.  All of the participants were very isolated and unable to access the support they were used to.

Roisin was new to the project.  She explained how she was unable to access any of the support she usually had day to day and so she and her family were so grateful to have something positive to focus on.

Roisin engaged in every activity and communicated via e-mail/phone weekly with the project leader and artists.  The project became a really important part of her week.

The feedback from Roisin and her family was so wonderful; including how the activities had provided a positive focus during the week where they really enjoyed spending quality time together, working together and being creative; this was something they did not usually do.  Roisin’s mom is an artist and explained that Roisin never wants to create art with her now she is an adult, so this provided a really lovely opportunity for them to work together.  It was wonderful to see how proud Roisin and her family were of the beautiful work they had created together; having the work exhibited in the gallery space really boosted her confidence and pride.

A public consultation has been launched to provide the first wider opportunity for people to shape how North Wales communities could benefit from the project.

The six week consultation will be open until 4^th April 2022 and is seeking responses from individuals and organisations from across the region.

Bryn Cadno (Colwyn Heights) Community Centre is a registered charity, run by a board of trustees, who are all volunteers. The centre is hired by clients who run a variety of classes and activities for adults and children. The trustees, together with a small group of volunteers, also run social and fundraising activities. Currently they are looking for a Trustee who will also take on responsibilities of a Treasurer. You will join a friendly and supportive team of Volunteers who look after the centre and continue to ensure it plays a relevant role in the community. As a Treasurer, you will be responsible for the day-to-day accounting (issuing invoices, making payments etc.), maintaining financial records, presenting financial reports to the board of trustees at meetings and providing information to our accountants on an annual basis, to enable them to produce our annual accounts. This opportunity would be ideal for someone with knowledge or interest in finance/accounts, but training would be provided as part of the handover from the current treasurer.

The Community Centre is also seeking volunteers to do small maintenance jobs, minor repairs, gardening etc. and to help with fundraising/social activities.

Hope Restored helps homeless people and people less fortunate than ourselves. They are embarking on a new project to help homeless people in the Llandudno area and need Male Volunteers to have a presence/supervise overnight, 9pm – 8am.

Hope Restored will supply a place, currently for the male homeless people to sleep in a safe, secure, warm, and dry environment, giving them a little respite from sleeping outside in the cold wet weather. They currently run just a few days a week but are hoping to expand on this. Decent comfortable camp beds and bedding are provided, along with hot drinks and washing and toilet facilities. Clients will register for the service and must abide to the list of boundaries. This helps everyone to enjoy their stay and leave rested and refreshed the following morning.

Carers UK wants a society that respects, values, and supports carers. Their mission is to make life better for carers by giving expert advice, information, and support. They connect carers so no-one must care alone. They are looking to recruit Listening Support Volunteers. Are you a good listener? Are you keen to use your time and skills to help others? Do you care passionately about supporting those who care for others? The role of a Listening Support Volunteer is to support carers, by providing confidential and impartial listening support over the phone. You will be a friendly and understanding voice, helping carers who may be feeling lonely, isolated, and in need of a listening ear. You’ll receive virtual online training and guidance materials so that you feel confident supporting carers and you’ll receive regular check-in calls from Carers UK. Good computer skills, and access to a computer & broadband are required. This role can be carried out from home (in a space that allows for privacy). All volunteers must be over 18 years old, and the role is subject to a satisfactory DBS check.
