BREEDING PROJECT UPDATE
We are still working on
our new breeding project. We’ve not shared this news with anyone outside of this email newsletter, so you are the only ones who have the scoop.
We have about 40 new varieties going. In our first round, we used a Candy Cake male to pollinate about 17 of our legacy strains. Those ladies have been impregnated, have given us hundreds of seeds, and we are currently pheno hunting
those seeds. That means we have planted them, and we will be looking for suitable females to are worth keeping.
In our second round, we used a male GMO Jungle Cherries, and pollinated a bunch of other ladies we have in our legacy line up. The goal of both of these rounds is to see what we can find that looks special and unique. We really don’t want to release anything that
is just another version of somebody else’s strain. We want something that is unique and new.
So we will continue on this journey of breeding new strains. And if we will let you know how it goes with these monthly updates.
