Our newest YouTube video explains how you can save on your electric bill while also increasing the quality of your flowers. And it relates to last month’s grow tip.
Last month, we wrote about the benefits of growing indoors during the winter season (which we are currently doing and you should too!) Why?
Well,
for starters, you won’t have to pay for as much air conditioning to cool your grow room.
For for those of us in places like the Midwest, USA, we spend a lot of money on air conditioning during the summer months. Think about how
much money it costs to power A/C when the outside temps are 90 to a 100 F, and then add dozens of grow lights to the room! The answer: A LOT of $$$!
But in the winter time, you may not need any A/C at all. The heat from the lamps may
warm the room just enough to get it those ideal temperatures. There may be no fear of runaway temps going above 90.
Well, this month we are sharing a tip that will save you even more when you start your next 12/12 flowering cycle.
This tip involves starting your plants at a low wattage, increasing the wattage very slowly during the initial weeks of the flowering stage; holding the peak wattage for 3 weeks, and then backing it back down at the end.
Not only will you save money on the decrease in energy consumption, but your plants will actually respond
more favorably. Much more favorably.
We explain this concept in much more detail in this article:
