What do you know about artificial
sweeteners?
Artificial sweeteners are detrimental to our insides, our gut, and our brain. Although products that include them claim they are “zero calorie”, they provide NO nutritional value to our mind and bodies and they trick us into thinking what we are eating is “ok” because there is no “sugar”.
Artificial sweeteners are another manufactured ingredient that is in our “eat less” category. Here are ones to look out for:
- Aspartame
- Sucralose
- Acesulfame K
- Saccharin
- Xylitol
- Erythritol
BEST ADVICE?? READ ingredient labels first before purchasing a product and when cooking or baking, use natural sweeteners to sweeten up your meal:
- honey
- dates
- sugar
- coconut sugar
- maple syrup
- molasses
- agave nectar
- Monk fruit syrup
