Today World Jewish Relief are combining that experience and infrastructure with their expertise in disaster and emergency relief all around the world to deliver the most practical and effective humanitarian response World Jewish Relief can on behalf of the British Jewish community.
World Jewish Relief experience has taught them to respond to emergencies immediately and deliberately, but also to be there in the months and years to come. World Jewish Relief are in daily contact with their 29 established partners in Ukraine and right now they are:
- Transferring emergency funds for food, cash, medical, material, and psychological support for the worst affected community members.
- Continuing - as much as is possible hour by hour under fire - medical care, home care, companionship and dementia care to older people in complex and dangerous circumstances.
- Supporting refugees fleeing from Ukraine with food, water, PPE and accommodation in Moldova, Transnistria and Poland
- In close coordination with all the principal international/Jewish organisations to make most effective use of resources.
