Rob Kanter, an entertaining and captivating speaker, tells the fascinating story of this scandal--prone Muslim who held Jewish crowds from Stamford Hill to Cheetham Hill, enthralled. Rob is a Lecturer in History Education at Manchester Metropolitan University, specialising in the often neglected area of Jewish-Muslim relations in
Britain during the 20th century. His PhD highlights a number of lesser known episodes in the British context. Rob was raised in London and after studying at the University of Leeds, moved to Manchester to complete his PhD and to marry Manchester-raised Suzanne. Suzanne and Rob live in North Manchester and have two teenage children, Yosef and Devorah, as well as a Cockapoo puppy! Rob is in his eighth year as warden of the Heaton Park Synagogue as well as working on Manchester's Yom Hashoah
committee.
