What data projects are on your to-do list? It's a new year, and that means we are all planning out new projects. Maybe you
have a goal to design and implement a new survey. Maybe you have a big reporting project that you need to work on this year. Maybe you are confident that you have the skills and time to work on the project - but maybe you don't. Did you know that CTData provides consulting services to step in when you either don't have the time, the staffing, or the skills to complete an important data project? We have pulled together some case studies that describe the kind of consulting work that we have done for nonprofit and state agency clients over the last couple
of years (with more to come). Projects have included: - Developing a data platform to make it easier to explore ACES and PACES data for Connecticut.
- Developing a data story and dashboard to make it easier for people to identify where to focus their election registration and education
efforts.
- Creating a survey, analyzing the responses, and creating a report for Head Start in Connecticut.
- Assessing the data skills needs for Community Action Agencies, and designing training and tools to improve their needs assessments.
- Creating infographics to make data findings more accessible.
On our new Consulting page, you can read all of these case studies and reach out for a consultation about your project.
Understanding Census Geography When we work with data, we are always working with a place – a state, the nation, a town,
etc. In data-speak, these are called “geographies.” It simply means a physical place to where the data are connected. Explore this blog post to understand the census geographies that are most commonly used in Connecticut. Read more.
