Hello , I hope you are well?
Today I'm giving some tips about Evernote, Brendon Burchard and Thinkific, all of which are excellent services that I often dip into and use.
Evernote
This is about the best organisational software that I have come across. It helps you be organised in all areas of your life, whether work or home, or leisure. You can even write your novel with it (watch this space!).
It is basically a method of keeping Notes, as you think about them, but what makes it stand out for me is that you can search much more powerfully than just by title or keyword. It's very intuitive and accepts all sorts of input - texts, files, photos - and you can even talk to it. It can link to your calendar so that you can be super
prepared for meetings as they happen, and can be used on multiple devices.
It's surprisingly inexpensive and there is a free version. I use the Professional version which is only £7.49 a month.
One of my most Useful Uses is to keep track of all the lovely things I want to read, watch or listen to - I pop a link into my Note and when I have some time to fill, I can quickly find something useful. Of course I don't fill all my time that way - sometimes you just have to Be - but when I want to Do, Evernote makes it
easy.
I have no referral link for Evernote but it is so good you may like to simply try the free version.
Brendon Burchard
I don't often presume to recommend these million dollar coaches, but Brendon is different! He's very values-based, always talking about 'Live, Love, Matter', which seems good to me. As an early adopter of online programmes, he offers a wide range of personal development material, much of it free. I was amazed a couple of years ago to
receive a totally free hardback copy of his book 'High Performance Habits', all about what high performers actually do, that lesser mortals might not be thinking about. It's well produced, exquisitely researched and full of immensely useful advice and tips. I subscribe to his GrowthDay app which really is a thing of beauty. So I do have a referral link for this - hope you like it as much as I do.
Online programmes
If Brendon inspires you to create your own online programmes, it's hard to do better than Thinkific. You can create courses as small or large as you like, with any
sort of media, and there are several levels at different price points. I have a pretty basic, (i.e no video or audio content yet) course there, which I intend to improve - you can get an idea of what it can look like here.
In other news...
May I encourage you to join this years WBECS Coaching Summit? There is always lots of value, even if you attend only the free pre-summit. I have attended for several years and always learn lots. The World Business & Executive Coach Summit is designed specifically for coaches, and features top thought leaders in our industry. It’s 3 weeks, live, virtual and complimentary! You can see all the sessions, including the free ones at my link here.
That's it for now , and I hope you've found this useful. Feel free to get in touch with any questions or suggestions, and I'll be in touch again next month. As
before, here are a few buttons illustrating how I've used some of the products I've described.
All best wishes,
Barbara
