Hello again , I hope all is well with you, as the seasons roll on. Soon we shall be saying to each other, Nights are drawin' in! Ā Today I'm giving some more tips about several services that I use regularly,Ā plus one or two new
ones.Ā Ā Ā Brendon Burchard again I've recommended Brendon before, as one of the premier online coaches and personal development leaders in the world. HisĀ Growth Day app is awesomely good, as I said a couple of months ago, and today I want to say a bit more about this side of things.Ā Ā He approaches personal development from several angles, such as books, podcasts and paid programmes, and it's well worth being on his mailing list. My main comment today is about how the Growth Day app can be used on a daily basis to score your habits and actions, as a way of reflecting on your day and seeing where best to concentrate your effort on improvements. For those of us who like to see things on charts in pretty colours this can be very encouraging.Ā Ā Ā Reciprocoach You'll recall that Reciprocoach is anĀ international community of coaches offering peer coaching, supervision, mentoring, research reports and online tools at
very affordable rates.Ā Ā I wanted
to say a bit about how they offer supervision, which as professional coaches we all need. We know it can be pricey to pay for supervision, but Reciprocoach does everything possible to make it all affordable. So what I do, as well as any individual supervision I might take elsewhere, is to go into a group supervision round at least once a year. Mostly this will be a series of three sessions at monthly intervals, with the same group of people, so that trust and consistency is built in. This is
covered in my membership which is only Ā£120 or so a year, or you can pay for the rounds you want if you take a lower membership.Ā Ā It's set up across a variety of time zones so that everyone can find a supervision round to fit without being up at 02:00 (I would not be functioning at this time!). Ā More next time, about how they approach Mentoring of coaches. Meanwhile see more about Reciprocoach here.Ā Ā Ā Better known as Canva, this must be the best graphics programme out there, I was going to say for the non-specialist, but I struggle to see
how it could be any better.Ā Ā So Canva provides millions of photos, thousands of templates for anything from logos,
flyers, posters, memes, business cards, QR codes, any kind of social media, brochures, mugs, mouse mats, calendars, worksheets and workbooks - I do not have space to list them all. And they provide a print service too. It's such fun to play with it all! Currently I am using some Canva templates to create downloadable worksheets, see my page here.Ā Ā This is where I get my cool photos for my newsletters, and I do pay for it, at about Ā£11 a month. There is a free version too, where you just get a more limited range of resources. Still pretty awesome though.Ā Ā Just one more thing - you know I'm a big fan of Suzanne Dibble and how she helps small businesses with legal and business issues. She has another free online series coming up on Monday, with a choice of two times each day, focussing on
how to Recession Proof your Business.Ā Here's my link to recommend her.Ā Ā Well that's it for now , and I hope you've foundĀ this short update useful. Feel free to get in touch with any questions or suggestions, and I'll be in touch again next month. As before, here are a few buttons
illustrating how I've used some of the products I've described.Ā Meanwhile, I am beginning to think how to take this forward next year and to plan it, so I am wondering, what else would be useful to you in these updates? Let me know and I'll do my best to provide it, Ā All best wishes, Ā Barbara |
