Q: Why do you say “burnish the crease with your Bone Folder” when making cards? Can’t I fold it without the Bone Folder?

A: The Bone Folder’s job is to “train the paper”. You score the paper with the tip of the Bone Folder to compact (burnish) the fibers in a defined line – you just “trained” it to know where you want it to fold. Then you use the Bone Folder’s body to reinforce that crease to give you a neater and flatter fold.
