Have you spent time organizing your crafting space? The beginning of a new year always inspires me to "clean up" my home including my craft room. This year, I have focused on making my stamping supplies accessible to the desk where I do my projects.
The first task was to move the "stuff" that I don't routinely use to another location - freeing up valuable space to get the items that I use daily in my paper-crafting projects. I put my Basic White and Very Vanilla Thick Cardstock, cut into card bases
(5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and 4-1/4" x 11") and Basic White, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black regular cardstock cut into card fronts/inserts (4" x 5-1/4") in a paper organizer on the shelf over my workspace.
Next was organizing my Designer Series Paper
(DSP) or "patterned Paper" to make it easy to add to my cards when designing a new card. I use two approaches to help me coordinate DSP with my card designs.
First, I have a "DSP Information File" where I catalog the DSP packets by name,
catalog, coordinating colors, and picture of the papers. (See example, below).
