Hello
Today is kind of a sad day for us. We have to take our cat Lucy to the Animal Humane Society and let her go. We have had her since she was a kitten for 8 years. She has suddenly stopped using the litter box for some strange reason. It will be very different without her around the house. She always liked to jump up on my craft table to
see what I was working on and steal my sponge.
I haven't been crafting this past week very much because I have been participating in a training class. As part of my training, I had to create a Facebook Live video with a quick tip for my audience. If you didn't see my video on FB yet, it was about how to create 5 equal size sheets
of white cardstock from one sheet of 8 1/2 x 11" cardstock for the least amount of waste.
Below are the measurements drawn out or feel free to watch the video on Facebook to see it demonstrated for you. There is little to no waste when you cut the cardstock this way. Use the pieces on the inside of your card base where you sign your card or the outside as an added layer. You cut on the blue lines and the measurements are in orange. Your first cut is at 5 inches along the 8 1/2 " side. Then take the 5" x 11" piece and cut it at 3 1/2 inches three times. Then take the second piece measuring 3 1/2" x 11" and cut it at 5 inches and
again at 5 inches. That will leave you with 5 pieces of white cardstock measuring 3 1/2" x 5" (and two very small pieces you can use as labels). I recently learned this little trick and it really saves on cardstock when you make lots of cards like I do.
