News Update

Ngā Pou Mana have some exciting kaupapa on the horizon that we have been working on over the past few months.  Here's an update for all our members and networks.

Welcome to our Kaiwhakahaere Gareth Jones

We welcome Gareth Jones as the new Kaiwhakahaere of Ngā Pou Mana.

Gareth has a wealth of knowledge in management and was previously the General Manager of the University of Auckland Student Association.  He as also served on a number of boards and has had other management and executive positions across the motu.

Gareth is also currently completing his Doctorate of Philosophy with Auckland University of Technology (AUT).

Nau mai i te rangatira! E kii ana te kōrero he kai kei aku ringa.  We look forward to the fruits you share with the kaupapa of Ngā Pou Mana.

We would also like to extend our acknowledgment and gratitude to Roxanne Waru who is now longer working with us as the outgoing Kaiwhakahaere.  We wish her all the best in her future endeavours and look forward to hearing about the mahi she completes at her new role at Te Whatu Ora.

Ngā Pou Mana Wānanga Series

We have a number of wānanga and training opporutunities coming up in the near future that our members can attend at a heavily discounted rate thanks to funding provided by Te Aka Whaiora:

The Algorithm of Aroha

Come and wānanga the algorithm of aroha and how it relates to our response-ability and obligations to the maintenance of Mauri Ora in the world.  This wānanga is hosted by Ui Consultancy and is not to be missed.

This wānanga is over 2 days (21 July and 11 August) for you to be bound by the sacred intention of KAITIAKITANGA.

Te Waka Wairua Māori Allied Health Wānanga

This 3 day wānanga is designed for Māori allied health workers to learn different healing modalities for self and whānau.

There will be workshops and group activities around rongoa Māori, self awareness and wellness, all through a Te Ao Māori lens so we can better cater to our whānau and ourselves.
