Golf isn't always easy and some concepts can be down right confusing.
Here's something I learned from Tiger Woods and I think it might help you too!
Tiger Woods was among the first to discuss hitting each of your golf shots into 'windows'. When he's on the golf course, this is how he sees each individual shot.
Collin Morikawa says he learned this concept from Tiger and it's made him a better player.
So, let's get to it.
Imagine you are standing on the tee box and you are staring down a long par 4. You won't be driving the green, so you'll be picking the best spot to land for your approach shot.
In his mind, there are always 9 distinct possibilities. Picture this 9 window pane window frame with your ideal landing spot in the background.
So...you can hit it high (top pane), low (bottom pane) or average height (middle pane).
You can also go left, right or straight ahead.
Much easier to visualize, right?
There are exactly 9 panes so 9 shot options...on every hole...on every shot.
