Straight from the mouth of a champion
Scottie Scheffler already has two back to back wins at the Phoenix Open. Can he get a third?
He hopes to.
When he was asked questions today about his expectations, hopes, dreams and plan for a third win, his answer wasn't surprising to anyone who studies the mental side of the game as much as Scottie...
"I plan to stick to my process."
"I plan to
stick to my routine."
"I plan to focus on those things I have control over like hitting good quality putts."

Scheffler doesn't control the weather (and it's raining pretty hard right
now)
He doesn't control the crazy crowd at the famous Hole 16 (and it gets very
rowdy and distracting).
Heck...he can't even control if his putts will go in.
But he can control his
ability to make a good quality putting stroke and he can control his ability to read the greens with as much precision as possible...
And control the
likelihood that those putts will in fact go in.
You hear the difference in the language he uses and his thought process?
