Swing Speed Training for Senior Golfers
The average swing speed for senior golfers can vary depending on various factors such as age, skill level, and physical condition. However, research and data indicate that the average swing speed for senior male golfers typically ranges from 70 to 85 miles per
hour (mph), while for senior female golfers, it may range from 50 to 65 mph.
According to a study published in the Journal of Sports Sciences by Hume et al. (2005), which examined the biomechanics of the golf swing in senior golfers, the average clubhead speed for male golfers aged 60 to 69 was around 84 mph, while for female golfers in the same age group, it
was approximately 62 mph.
These figures serve as a general reference point, but it's important to note that individual swing speeds can vary significantly based on factors such as fitness level, technique, and equipment.
