Happy Rebellious Friday!
We hope you have a great weekend coming up. They always say that looking for work should be your "full-time job." But it's also one of the most stressful tasks we face. So don't forget to recharge. Jordana
Harshman, a wellness coach at Stanford Children's Health, suggests this:
"Notice which domains [of your regular activities] feel energizing, which feel depleting and which feel neutral, and consider how shifting your priorities would change the way you feel." Some priorities can't be shifted, but others can. Could be worth a try! For more hacks like this, you can see her interview here.
And one final point on self-care. I often put it in terms of, "What happens to those I provide
for if my health takes a hit?" In my case, it's my rescue dog, Bear. I lost my teen daughter, and my son is grown. So for me, it's him I worry about the most. That motivates me to take better care of myself. I'm sure that most of us have something that sparks us to tend to self-care.
On the WFH side-hustle side, these website review gigs (scroll down) pay about $32/hr., which is higher than many. Workflow for site testers can rise and ebb, so you usually can't count on it for core income. But once you prove yourself and get "networked in," the flow can increase. You'll
find more of these on our Big List.
For extra cash, Survey Junkie (scroll down) for surveys and testing products is legit. Earn points for cash or (if you prefer) gift cards for Visa, Amazon, Walmart and other major brands. Keep an eye open for product testing offers. Also
offers free onboarding points, extra points for linking your online activity, and giveaways.
